China Machinery and Electricity Business Association: Supports the Ministry of Commerce's initiation of a trade and investment barrier investigation related to restrictions on Chinese affairs in Mexico.
On September 26, the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products released a statement: On September 25, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced that it had decided to initiate a trade investment barrier investigation into Mexico's related restrictions on China. The China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products is highly concerned and firmly supports the Chinese Ministry of Commerce in upholding international economic and trade order in accordance with the law, and defending the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese industry and enterprises. The unilateralism and protectionism practiced by the US has been widely opposed globally. If Mexico increases import tariffs on China and other non-free trade partners, it will severely damage the trade and investment interests of Chinese companies and the mutual cooperation between the two countries' industries, further undermining the international economic and trade order. The China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products strongly opposes Mexico's proposed increase in tariffs, as well as any attempts by other countries to constrain China under various pretexts and harm China's legitimate interests. It will actively organize relevant companies to cooperate with the Ministry of Commerce in conducting investigations in accordance with the law, and firmly defend fair trade and the legitimate rights and interests of industries.
