The Ministry of Commerce announced the implementation of export permit management for pure electric passenger vehicles.

According to the China Securities and Finance APP learned that on September 26th, the Ministry of Commerce announced that in order to promote the healthy development of trade in new energy vehicles, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the General Administration of Customs, and the State Administration for Market Regulation have decided to implement an export license management system for pure electric passenger cars in accordance with relevant provisions of the Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China. The implementation will officially begin on January 1, 2026.
