Sunbeam Motors Limited is recalling some MINI electric vehicles.

Recently, Guangshu Automotive Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Management of Recalls of Defective Automotive Products" and the "Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Management of Recalls of Defective Automotive Products". Recall number S2025M0152V: Starting from now, a total of 4 domestically produced MINI COOPER cars manufactured between June 15, 2024 and July 16, 2024 will be recalled; and a total of 3 domestically produced MINI ACEMAN cars manufactured between July 9, 2024 and August 1, 2024 will also be recalled. Vehicles within the scope of this recall may have a problem in the production process of the power battery, which could result in some battery cells having a dual-pole situation, leading to excessive self-discharge of the battery cells. In extreme cases, this could cause the power battery to overheat and pose a safety hazard. Guangshu Automotive Co., Ltd. will replace the problematic power battery modules for the vehicles within the recall scope free of charge to eliminate the safety risks.
