Today, the reporter learned that the State Administration for Market Regulation has released the Annual Report on Price Supervision, Inspection, and Anti-Unfair Competition Enforcement in China, which shows that in 2024, the national market supervision system carried out actions to guard against price monitoring competition, with a total of 38,600 cases filed throughout the year, resulting in fines totaling 30.7 billion yuan and refunds totaling 20.25 billion yuan. A major effort was made to crack down on illegal fees charged by enterprises, promoting a reduction in the burden on businesses, with a total of 3,042 cases filed nationwide, resulting in fines of 4.3 billion yuan and refunds of 13.6 billion yuan; there was a strong crackdown on illegal activities in the funeral industry, with precise efforts made to maintain price order stability, resulting in 18,400 cases filed in the field of people's livelihood, fines totaling 12.07 billion yuan, and 6.62 billion yuan refunded to consumers; a strict crackdown on unfair competition, with 14,200 cases of various types of unfair competition investigated and fines of 8.05 billion yuan imposed. This provides strong support for maintaining the market order of fair competition and promoting high-quality economic and social development.
