Amazon (AMZN.US) reached a $25 billion settlement with the FTC to end the "deceptive Prime subscription" lawsuit.

According to the Wise Finance APP, on Thursday, Amazon (AMZN.US) announced a settlement agreement with the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC), bringing an end to a lawsuit accusing the company of using "deceptive" interface design to induce consumers to subscribe to Prime membership. According to court documents, Amazon will pay $25 billion to settle the case. After the news was announced, Amazon's stock price fell by 0.94% on the same day, closing at $218.15.
