Question: China has implemented sanctions on 3 companies involved in military sales to Taiwan through the use of the "Unreliable Entity List." What are the considerations behind this? In recent years, companies such as Salonec Technology, Elcon, and International Ocean Engineering have engaged in military technology cooperation with Taiwan despite strong opposition from China, seriously damaging China's national sovereignty, security, and development interests. In accordance with the Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China, the National Security Law of the People's Republic of China, the Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law of the People's Republic of China, and other legal basis, China, based on the provisions of the "Unreliable Entity List Regulations", lawfully holds these companies accountable for their actions. China has consistently handled the Unreliable Entity List issue prudently, only targeting a very small number of foreign entities that pose a threat to our national security. Foreign entities that comply with the law and act in good faith have no need to worry. The Chinese government continues to welcome companies from around the world to invest and operate in China, and is committed to providing a stable, fair, and predictable business environment for law-abiding foreign businesses operating in China.
