Beijing intends to legislate that relevant units should have safety management personnel to conduct daily inspections of house buildings.

The 19th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 16th Beijing Municipal People's Congress convened on September 24th. The meeting reviewed the "Regulations on the Safe Use of Residential Buildings in Beijing". This legislation aims to address the prominent issues in the safe use of residential buildings, strengthen the weak areas, and establish a long-term mechanism for ensuring the safe use of residential buildings. In addition, the draft also includes several provisions on "strengthening risk prevention", such as requiring self-managed and entrusted management units to appoint safety managers for conducting daily inspections and annual comprehensive inspections of residential buildings.
