According to the farmers, this year's Chinese mitten crabs have a uniform size and are plump, with individual weights generally ranging from 3 to 4 taels. "Orders from Changsha, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen are all fully booked, there is no worry about not being able to sell the Chinese mitten crabs." In recent years, Datonghu District has adhered to the ecological farming model of "water grass + Chinese mitten crab", conducting dynamic monitoring of water quality throughout the year to ensure that the Chinese mitten crabs are fed with natural snails, water grass, resulting in firmer meat, fuller crab roe, and crab paste. This year, the Chinese mitten crab farming area in Datonghu District has reached 32,000 mu, with a total expected production of over 3,500 tons, an increase of 20% compared to the previous year.
