European software giant SAP and OpenAI announced today their partnership to launch a "German version of OpenAI", aiming to combine SAP's expertise in enterprise applications with OpenAI's leading AI technology to serve the German public sector. To ensure data sovereignty, the German OpenAI will be supported by SAP's subsidiary Delos Cloud and run on Microsoft Azure technology. This collaboration will enable millions of public sector employees to safely and responsibly use artificial intelligence, while meeting strict data sovereignty, security, and legal standards.
