Affected by the super typhoon "Hagupit", severe heavy rainstorms and floods, as well as geological disasters, have occurred in many areas of South China. On September 24th, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Emergency Management urgently allocated 150 million yuan of central natural disaster relief funds to support Guangdong, Hainan, and Fujian in their efforts to carry out emergency rescue and relief work for flood and typhoon prevention, including relocating and resettling affected people, eliminating dangers, conducting secondary disaster risk assessments and emergency treatment, in order to minimize the impact of the disaster and effectively ensure the safety of people's lives and property. The Ministry of Finance requires the financial departments of the three provinces mentioned above to promptly allocate the disaster relief funds to the disaster-affected areas, effectively utilize the pre-allocated funds, strengthen fund supervision mechanisms to prevent fund retention, crowding out, and misappropriation, and ensure that all disaster relief funds are used for the disaster-affected areas and affected people.
