Issuance of the "Standard System and Action Plan for the Strategic Breakthrough in New Round of Mineral Exploration Support"

The Ministry of Natural Resources and the National Standardization Management Committee issued the "Standard System and Three-Year Action Plan for Supporting the Breakthrough Strategy in Exploration" in 2025. A coordinated mechanism for the promotion of geological and mineral standards will be preliminarily established, effectively playing a supporting and leading role in standardization. The development and release of 20-25 urgently needed standards for breakthroughs in mineral exploration will be carried out to meet the requirements of the new round of strategic actions in exploration. In 2026, the development and release of 20-25 urgently needed standards for breakthroughs in mineral exploration will continue, significantly increasing the supply and guarantee capabilities of standards for the new round of strategic actions in exploration, with a substantial improvement in the quality level of standards. In 2027, the development and release of 30-35 urgently needed standards for breakthroughs in mineral exploration will be carried out, and the role of improving the quality and efficiency of the new round of strategic actions in exploration through standardization will continue to be evident. A new pattern of comprehensive national collaboration, research, sharing, and governance in geological and mineral standardization will be fully formed.
