Zhang Yong appointed as Mayor of Haikou City, Hainan Province, after transferring from Guangdong Province.

According to the "Haikou Release" WeChat public account, on September 23, the Sixth Session of the Seventeenth Haikou People's Congress was held. The first plenary session of the congress passed the "Election Method of the Sixth Session of the Seventeenth Haikou People's Congress". The second plenary session passed the list of the total director and vote counters of the congress; and elected Zhang Yong as mayor of the Haikou Municipal People's Government through anonymous voting.
