World Health Organization: Cholera outbreak in Sudan has resulted in over 3000 deaths.

On September 23, local time, the World Health Organization stated that since the latest cholera outbreak in Sudan in July 2024, the country has reported more than 113,000 confirmed cases and over 3,000 deaths. Hala Haddari, Deputy Representative of the World Health Organization in Sudan, stated that the current mortality rate of cholera cases in Sudan is approximately 2.7%, with the situation in the western Darfur region being the most severe.
