The Ministry of Civil Affairs and the National Working Commission on Aging today issued a reminder on preventing the misuse of the "Silver Age Action" initiative for commercial activities for profit: The "Silver Age Action" is a volunteer service activity mainly carried out by elderly people. According to the "Regulations on Volunteer Service," the implementation of the "Silver Age Action" should adhere to the principles of voluntarism, non-remuneration, equality, integrity, and legality. The Ministry of Civil Affairs, the National Working Commission on Aging, and the China Association of Senior Citizens have never authorized, approved, or agreed to any organization or individual to conduct any form of commercial activities such as investment rebates, sales commissions, or franchise rebates in the name of the "Silver Age Action." If the public discovers any criminals falsely using the "Silver Age Action" name to engage in activities such as false advertising, price fraud, illegal advertisements, illegal fundraising, or fraud, please promptly report to the relevant local authorities.
