Today, it was learned from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology that this year, the new car sales volume of passenger cars equipped with a combination driving assistance system has exceeded 60% market penetration rate. The latest data shows that from January to July 2025, the sales volume of new passenger cars equipped with a combination driving assistance system in China reached 7.76 million units, with a penetration rate of 62.6%, an increase of 5.7 million units and 40 percentage points compared to the same period in 2021. The combination driving assistance system has become a highlight of the market for new car models and an important consideration for consumers. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officials stated that the mandatory national standard for combination driving assistance systems has been publicly solicited for opinions. At the 2025 World Intelligent Connected Vehicle Conference hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Transport, and the Beijing Municipal People's Government in mid-next month, discussions on the safety issues of intelligent connected vehicles will be conducted. The officials also stated that China has clearly identified intelligent connected vehicles as one of the 8 areas for enhancing the core competitiveness of the manufacturing industry. In the past five years, China has issued the "New Energy Vehicle Industry Development Plan", deepening the development direction of electrification, networking, and intelligence, and has established a complete industrial chain system covering intelligent cabins, autonomous driving, and networked cloud control for mass production.
