At the same time, there is strong demand for first class, with a significant year-on-year increase in bookings for business class and premium economy class, not only on long-haul routes to the United States, the United Kingdom, and other countries, but also on short-haul routes. In terms of departure cities, the demand for travel from first-tier cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou has significantly increased year-on-year, while the volume of flight bookings from Hangzhou, Nanjing, Wuhan, and other cities has also seen significant growth. It is reported that as the winter-spring flight season changes, Cathay Pacific will increase the number of flights between Hong Kong and Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou, and other routes. Specifically, the daily flights between Beijing Capital International Airport and Hong Kong will increase from 7 pairs to 8 pairs, and including the daily flights between Hong Kong and Beijing Daxing International Airport of Hong Kong Express, the total number of daily round-trip flights between Hong Kong and the two major Beijing airports operated by Cathay Pacific Group will increase to 9 pairs. The weekly flights between Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport will increase from 11 pairs to 12 pairs. Together with the daily 8 pairs of flights between Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Cathay Pacific will operate close to 70 pairs of weekly round-trip flights between the two major airports in Shanghai.
