Protests broke out in several places in Italy to support Palestine.
On the 22nd, a strike and demonstration in support of Palestine erupted in various cities across Italy, protesting against the Italian government's provision of weapons and equipment to Israel. The protesters demanded that Israel stop the "ethnic cleansing" in the Gaza Strip and called for humanitarian aid to be sent to Gaza. According to the Italian public broadcaster, protests took place in 75 cities including the capital Rome, as well as Milan, Turin, Florence, Naples, and Bari, with over 100,000 people participating. The protests caused public transport and ports across the country to come to a standstill.
