Vodafone (VOD) is relatively flat in early trading. The company has awarded Ericsson (ERIC) and Nokia (NOK) a $2.7 billion network expansion contract for its VodafoneThree joint venture in the UK. This eight-year deal will see Ericsson and Nokia significantly enhance their presence in the mobile market by deploying wireless access network technology at 17,000 sites.
