According to the official WeChat account of the Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court, from September 19 to 22, 2025, the Guangdong Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court held a public trial in the first instance for 21 defendants including Bai Suocheng and Bai Yingcang on charges of fraud, intentional homicide, intentional injury, kidnapping, extortion, operating a casino, organizing and forcing prostitution, illegal detention, organizing others to illegally cross the border, illegally crossing the border, smuggling, trafficking, transporting, manufacturing drugs, aiding in destruction, and fabricating evidence. The Guangdong Shenzhen People's Procuratorate accused: Since August 2009, a criminal group led by Bai Suocheng, Bai Yingneng, Bai Yingcang and other core members of the Bai family, with other family members such as Bai Yingxiang, Bai Yinglan, Bai Yingping, Bai Yinggai, Li Fushou, as well as trusted subordinates Yang Zaihua, Luo Wenjun, and Li Longhua as important members, utilized the influence of the Bai family in the Kokang area of Myanmar, relying on the family's armed forces. By establishing 41 parks such as Baisheng Hotel, Tenglong Building 1, Cangsheng Technology Park through self-construction, cooperation and development, they attracted "financiers" such as Yang Liqiang, Chen Shuangfu, and Yan Jiefeng to settle in and provide armed protection, collaborating with "financiers" to carry out activities such as telecom fraud, intentional homicide, intentional injury, kidnapping, extortion, operating a casino, organizing others to illegally cross the border, organizing and forcing prostitution, leading to the death of 6 Chinese citizens, injuries to several Chinese citizens, and involving over 20 billion yuan in gambling and fraud funds. In addition, Bai Yingcang also collaborated in trafficking and manufacturing approximately 11 tons of methamphetamine. The procuratorial organs suggested holding the Bai family criminal group and its associated criminal gang members accountable for 12 crimes including fraud, intentional homicide, and intentional injury. During the trial, the procuratorial organs presented relevant evidence, the defendants and their defense lawyers cross-examined, and both sides presented their opinions under the presiding of the court, with each defendant making a final statement. After the trial, the court announced an adjournment and will schedule the verdict at a later date.
