On September 22, Li Yunze, Director of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, stated at the State Council Information Office's "High-Quality Completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan" series themed press conference that 41 key institutions will be subject to intensified supervision, while regulatory authority will be transferred to 112 small and medium-sized insurance institutions.
