According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, the total retail sales of consumer goods in that month reached 3.97 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.4% year-on-year, with a growth rate 1.3 percentage points higher than the same period last year. From January to August, the total retail sales of consumer goods reached 32.39 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.6% year-on-year, with a growth rate 1.2 percentage points higher than the same period last year.
