Recently, the reporter learned from the Civil Aviation Administration that in August of this year, China's civil aviation transportation scale reached a new historical high, with a total transport turnover exceeding 15 billion ton-kilometers for the first time, and the overall operation trend continued to improve. The entire industry completed a total transport turnover of 15.18 billion ton-kilometers, with passenger transport volume of 75.364 million and freight transport volume of 865,000 tons, increasing by 8%, 3.3%, and 13.3% respectively compared to the same period last year. "This performance is in line with industry expectations, as domestic passenger travel demands continue to be released, combined with the favorable policies for inbound tourism, jointly promoting the impressive performance of China's civil aviation transportation scale reaching new highs," said Guo Jia, a professor at the School of Southern Business at the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. He told reporters that it is expected that the trend of a surge in civil aviation transportation scale will continue to be driven by the upcoming double festival holidays in October.
