Our country's pumped storage power station construction has made new progress in the deepest vertical shaft.

According to the official website of China Three Gorges Group, on September 19th, the first super-deep vertical shaft full-face drilling machine used in the pumped storage industry in China successfully started excavation in the No. 1 intake vertical shaft of the Songyang pumped storage power station. This marks a new progress in the construction of the deepest vertical shaft in pumped storage power stations in China. The Songyang pumped storage power station is located in Songyang County, Lishui City, Zhejiang Province. It is a pure pumped storage power station for daily regulation, with the installation of 4 sets of 350,000 kilowatt reversible pump-turbine generator units. The plan is to achieve the first unit grid-connected power generation by the end of 2027.
