The Non-Aligned Movement Secretariat calls for the maintenance of peace in the Latin American and Caribbean region.
On the 20th local time, the Non-Aligned Movement Coordination Bureau issued a statement expressing deep concern and worry about the presence of foreign military forces in Latin America and the Caribbean. According to the statement, the Non-Aligned Movement Coordination Bureau supports the anti-opposition stance held by the member countries of CELAC, and calls on the international community to adhere to the Tlatelolco Treaty, maintaining the historical achievements of Latin America and the Caribbean as a peaceful and nuclear-free zone. The statement reaffirms the Non-Aligned Movement Coordination Bureau's strong commitment to maintaining peace in Latin America and the Caribbean, reiterating the sovereign rights of the peoples of the region to not be interfered with externally and to determine their own destiny, and pledging to continue to resolve disputes through peaceful means in order to completely eliminate the use or threat of force in the region.
