Unable to have the fully automatic driving function after purchase? Multiple car owners are suing Tesla for fraud and demanding refunds.
In August of this year, 7 car owners who purchased the FSD feature filed a lawsuit against Tesla for fraudulent sales contracts in bulk in the People's Court of Daxing District, Beijing, and are currently waiting for the first trial. According to public information, this is the first time that Chinese car owners have sued Tesla for the FSD feature. Recently, reporters learned from the plaintiff's representative lawyer in the bulk lawsuit that all the plaintiffs in these cases are Tesla owners. After purchasing the FSD feature, they found out that due to hardware limitations on their vehicles, their vehicles may not be able to support the fully autonomous driving function that was promised at the time of purchase. Therefore, they believe that Tesla is suspected of defrauding consumers and are demanding a refund and compensation. Car owner Lu Fei said that after buying the FSD for more than five years, he can only achieve automatic lane changing on highways, and the functions such as automatically summoning the vehicle in open parking lots that were advertised initially have never been successfully implemented. Fully autonomous driving has also not been realized, "It's like I spent 56,000 yuan on a very useless feature."
