According to the research report from Qunzhi Consulting, in the first half of 2025, the global shipment of flexible OLED smartphone screens reached nearly 300 million pieces, a year-on-year increase of about 5.2%. Mainland Chinese panel manufacturers shipped approximately 190 million flexible OLED smartphone screens, a year-on-year increase of about 7.7%, increasing their market share globally to 62.3%. BOE and Tianma shipped approximately 71 million and 43.2 million flexible OLED smartphone screens respectively in the first half of the year, with year-on-year growth of 10.3% and 15.6%. They rank second and third in the global market share, narrowing the gap with Samsung, which is in the top position. When discussing how to make the flexible OLED business profitable as soon as possible, Liu Qingquan, head of the marketing department at Tianma, believes that with technological innovation, localization of materials, design optimization, and factory efficiency improvement, there is still room for improvement in the profitability of domestically produced OLED screens in the future.
