The International Primate Brain Mapping Consortium was established in Shanghai, releasing a white paper to lay out the future of "brain research."

From September 20th to 21st, as an important part of the 18th Pujiang Innovation Forum, the 2025 International Workshop on Mesoscale Brain Mapping was successfully held in Shanghai. The conference focused on the research of "Whole-Brain Mesoscale Neural Connectivity Map", aiming to promote international scientific and technological exchange and cooperation with a more open concept and initiatives. Nearly 300 experts and scholars from around the world gathered together. During the workshop, the "International Primate Mesoscale Brain Map Alliance" was officially established and released the "International Primate Mesoscale Brain Map Alliance White Paper". This marks the official launch of the "Whole-Brain Mesoscale Neural Connectivity Map" large scientific program by the scientific community. Systematic cooperation on primate brain map research on a global scale has been officially initiated, providing a strategic framework and cooperation foundation for further integrating international research strengths, promoting data and technology sharing, and deepening exploration at the forefront of brain science.
