The Trump administration plans to charge an additional $100,000 fee for H-1B visa applicants.
White House officials revealed that President Trump is expected to sign an executive order as early as this Friday to comprehensively reform the H-1B visa program. The order will propose charging applicants fees of up to $100,000 to limit the visa channel from being "overused." Trump plans to instruct the Secretary of Labor to initiate a new rulemaking process to review the "current wage levels" of the H-1B program to curb the practice of companies using foreign labor to depress American wages.
