OpenAI accelerates the digging of apple wall corners: Reached a hardware manufacturing agreement with Luxshare Precision. The first device is planned to be launched by the end of 2026 or the beginning of 2027.

Insiders say that Luxshare Precision has already secured at least one assembly contract for OpenAI devices. In addition, OpenAI is also in talks with Goertek, which assembles AirPods, HomePods, and Apple Watches, in hopes of supplying speaker modules and other components for their future products. According to sources, OpenAI's planned products include smart speakers without displays, as well as considerations for developing glasses, digital recording pens, and wearable brooches. OpenAI is making a push into the AI hardware sector and is accelerating its competition with Apple. They have reached a hardware manufacturing agreement with Luxshare Precision, and are currently in talks with Goertek for cooperation. Additionally, OpenAI has recruited over 20 employees from Apple in the consumer hardware field so far this year.
