Ningbo Shipping Exchange: Freight rates on the India-Pakistan route have been significantly reduced this week, with the freight rate index dropping by 41.6% compared to last week.
According to the Ningbo Shipping Exchange, this week, the Ningbo Export Container Freight Index of the Silk Road on the Sea closed at 783.7 points, a decrease of 13.2% from last week. Among the 21 routes, one route saw an increase in freight index, 19 routes saw a decrease, and one route remained stable. Among the main ports along the "Maritime Silk Road", 15 ports saw a decrease in freight index, one port remained stable. In addition, this week, there was significant fluctuation in the market on the India-Pakistan route: the market volume continued to be flat under the influence of tariffs, with additional sailings before the holiday adding pressure to inventory, leading to a substantial decrease in freight rates. The freight index for the India-Pakistan route was 901.6 points, a decrease of 41.6% from last week.
