On the afternoon of September 19, 2025, the UNESCO Girls' and Women's Education Award Ceremony and the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the establishment of the award were held in Beijing. Chinese President Xi Jinping's wife, UNESCO Special Envoy for the Promotion of Girls' and Women's Education Peng Liyuan, and UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay attended and delivered speeches. Peng Liyuan stated that this year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the UNESCO Girls' and Women's Education Award. Over the past 10 years, winners from various countries and experts from all walks of life have helped girls and women adapt to social development changes and achieve their own development through education.
