In Zambia, the current cholera outbreak has resulted in over 170 confirmed cases.

Zambian Minister of Health, Dr. Elijiah M. Monde, stated on the 18th that since the first case of cholera was reported in Mpongwe District of Northern Province on August 5th, a total of 174 confirmed cases have been reported in this current cholera outbreak, including two deaths.
