According to the Zhongtong Finance APP, the total wealth of China's Taiwan Province is expected to surpass that of South Korea this year for the first time in over 20 years, signaling the rise of Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM.US) and reshaping the economic landscape in Asia. According to the latest forecast on Thursday, Taiwan Province's GDP growth rate is expected to reach 4.55% in 2025, further raising it from the August statistical department's estimate of 4.45%. With this growth trajectory, Taiwan Province is expected to exceed South Korea in per capita GDP by 2025, one year earlier than the IMF's forecast in April this year. This is a core indicator of living standards, with Taiwan Province's per capita GDP estimated at around 38,000 US dollars, only half of Singapore's level, but already ahead of Japan and rapidly closing the gap with South Korea.
