Xiaomi urgently recalls 30% of SU7: the new national standard almost replicates the "Xiaomi explosion incident" scene 1:1.

The State Administration for Market Regulation announced today that Xiaomi Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. will recall a total of 116,887 SU7 standard electric vehicles produced from February 6, 2024 to August 30, 2025. Just two days ago on the 17th, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released a mandatory national standard for "Intelligent Networked Vehicle Combination Driving Assistance System Safety Requirements" for public comment. It is noted that the new national standard proposes new requirements for the testing of combination driving assistance systems, especially in section 7.5.8 which includes the "Detection and Response Capability Test in B-Class Road Construction Zone Environment," a test scenario that closely replicates the scene of the "329 Tongling Xiaomi SU7 combustion accident."
