Wu Guogang, the second-level inspector of the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated in his speech that the next step will be to build a solid safety baseline and promote the healthy development of the lithium battery industry. Strengthen the implementation of related standards for lithium batteries and enhance the safety levels of production, use, and disposal of lithium batteries. Establish a lithium battery product safety classification evaluation technical system based on mandatory national standards, and a recommended catalog for energy storage battery products to improve the safety level of the industry. Continuously carry out quality supervision and inspection of lithium batteries, increase efforts to deal with non-compliant companies, and promote the improvement of lithium battery product performance and quality.
