Yesterday, reporters learned from the Municipal Commerce Bureau that the service consumption market in Beijing has been relatively active this year. From January to August, the total amount of service consumption in the city increased by 4.4% year-on-year, with significant contributions from the cultural entertainment, information, and transportation sectors. Beijing will continue to promote the deep integration of culture, commerce, tourism, and sports, stimulate new vitality in service consumption, and promote the development of the consumption market in a positive direction. Ordering food, hailing rides, and leisure entertainment through internet platforms has become a part of people's daily lives, and major platforms continue to optimize the user experience, making it more convenient for citizens to consume. From January to August this year, the total transaction volume of personal services on internet platforms in the city increased by nearly 10% year-on-year. According to estimates by Meituan, it is expected that by 2030, the onlineization rate of the service retail industry will increase to 25%, giving rise to 300 brands with thousands of stores.
