The Ebola outbreak in the Republic of the Congo has already caused 31 deaths.
An official from the World Health Organization's Africa Regional Office said on the 18th that the new round of Ebola outbreak in Congo has resulted in 31 deaths. Patrick Ottim, an official from the WHO Africa Regional Office, said during an online press conference held that day that as of the 17th, Congo had reported 48 cases of Ebola virus infection, with 38 confirmed cases and 31 deaths. Ottim stated that testing is still ongoing and the epidemic data may further change.
