Before the opening of the U.S. stock market on Thursday, pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk saw a 7.4% increase in its stock price after announcing the results of its once-daily weight loss drug late-stage trial. Novo Nordisk stated that the trial results showed that the drug achieved "significant" weight loss effects, comparable to the company's injectable weight loss drug Wegovy.
