Amazon (AMZN.US) was ruled to have violated by collecting user billing information, increasing Prime subscription lawsuit risks.

According to the xFinancial APP, a judge from a U.S. district court ruled that Amazon (AMZN.US) had collected billing information from subscription users before disclosing the terms of Prime membership services, which violated consumer protection laws. This ruling brought a victory to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in its efforts to crack down on deceptive practices by the company.
