China Charging Alliance: From January to August, the increment of charging infrastructure reached 4.53 million, increasing by 88.5% year on year.

The China Charging Alliance released the operating situation of the national electric vehicle charging and swapping infrastructure in August 2025. From January to August, the incremental increase of charging infrastructure was 4.53 million, an 88.5% year-on-year increase. Among them, the incremental increase of public charging facilities was 737,000, a 37.2% year-on-year increase, and the incremental increase of private charging facilities was 3.793 million, a 103.3% year-on-year increase. By the end of August 2025, the total number of electric vehicle charging infrastructure in China had reached 17.348 million, a 53.5% year-on-year increase.
