Tesla design chief Franz von Holzhausen said the company is considering integrating electronic and manual door unlock devices together. Currently, these two devices are located in different positions. The aim is to make the door handles more intuitive and user-friendly for passengers in panic situations. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) launched an investigation this week to examine whether Tesla's doors have defects. This is mainly due to some accidents causing the external handles to malfunction, resulting in children being trapped inside the car.
