Tesla plans to redesign door handles to address scrutiny.

Tesla design director Franz von Holzhausen said that the company is considering integrating the electronic and manual door unlocking devices. Currently, these two devices are located in different positions, with the aim of making the door handles more intuitive and easier to use for passengers in panic situations. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in the United States launched an investigation this week to determine whether certain Tesla doors have defects, as some accidents have caused the external handles to malfunction, trapping children inside the vehicle.
