The new smart glasses from Meta, priced at $800, are likely to become the focus of the Connect conference.
Meta is expected to launch its first consumer-grade smart glasses with a built-in display screen this Wednesday to continue the momentum of its Ray-Ban series, which has been popular in the early days of the artificial intelligence era. Analysts suggest that the new glasses may be named "Celeste" and will be paired with Meta's first gesture-control wristband. However, the expected price of $800 may deter some buyers. Reports indicate that these glasses may bear the Prada imprint. The event is scheduled to start at 5 pm Pacific Time. These glasses are expected to feature a small digital display screen on the right lens for basic tasks like notifications, while also incorporating features from existing Ray-Ban and Oakley smart glasses such as AI assistants, cameras, hands-free controls, and live streaming to social media platforms including Instagram.
