(CATL) stated on their interactive platform that sodium-ion batteries have slightly lower energy density compared to lithium-ion batteries, but have advantages in low-temperature performance, carbon footprint, and safety. Specifically, sodium new batteries will help expand the cold market and broaden the regional boundaries of new energy applications; the energy density of sodium new batteries reaches 175Wh/kg, providing a pure electric range of over 500 kilometers, covering over 40% of the domestic passenger car market demand, with a broad target market space; the sodium battery packs launched by the company combine high compatibility with standard packs/swap packs of sizes 20 and 25, suitable for all models of standard pack/swap pack vehicles from various car companies. Currently, the company's sodium new passenger car power batteries are being developed and deployed with customers, progressing smoothly, and will achieve mass supply next year according to customer pace.
