In the first seven months, Shanghai's advertising industry revenue reached 220 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.7%.
Zhang Hongbing, a second-level inspector of the Shanghai Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, stated at a press conference held by the Shanghai municipal government on September 17 that in recent years, Shanghai has set the goal of becoming the "International Capital of Digital Advertising," aligning with the vision of "Building a High Ground for Advertising Creativity and Innovation." Shanghai adheres to the dual drive of "technology + creativity" to continuously promote the scale of the advertising industry and improve the level of advertising creativity and design. By 2024, the advertising revenue of Shanghai is expected to reach 335.1 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 8.4%; the revenue for the first 7 months of this year reached 220 billion yuan, an increase of 10.7%. The scale of Shanghai's advertising creative design business and the number of creative talents account for 40% and 22% of the national total, respectively, leading in "creative concentration" nationwide.
