Zeng Yuqun, the chairman of CATL, pointed out at the opening ceremony of the conference that there are still challenges in the development of the energy storage industry, including exaggerated product parameters and false advertising. Many companies are not focusing on research and development, but instead are only focusing on product parameters and making rash decisions on quality and lifespan. In terms of the actual operating effects, the actual operating lifespan of some projects is far lower than what was promised, sometimes even less than 1/4 of the promised time, which is 25%.
