Eddie Li: The Hong Kong "Frontier Technology Research Support Program" is now accepting applications in the short term

The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Carrie Lam, delivered a new policy address at the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong SAR today. Lam stated that the SAR government had announced the launch of a HK$3 billion "Frontier Technologies Research Funding Scheme", which will accept applications in the short term to support local funding institutions in attracting top international researchers in AI and other fields to Hong Kong to lead basic research in frontier technologies.
