Chongqing: Increase support for reproduction and child-rearing.

The General Office of the People's Government of Chongqing Municipality issued the "Measures to Boost Consumption in Chongqing Municipality", proposing to increase support for childbirth and child-rearing. The implementation of national childcare subsidies policies will be ensured. The implementation of the annual action plan for pediatric services will promote public comprehensive hospitals to provide pediatric services. During the peak of seasonal childhood illnesses, efforts will be made to increase the opening hours of pediatric night clinics in comprehensive hospitals. There will be a strong emphasis on the development of community-based embedded childcare, employer-run childcare, and integrated services for childcare. By 2025, the number of childcare places for infants and young children under the age of 3 per thousand population will reach 4.5, and within three years, the coverage rate of universal childcare services in urban communities will reach 60%. Flexible workers, migrant workers, and others who participate in employee medical insurance as individuals will be eligible for corresponding maternity medical benefits after six months of continuous payment in Chongqing.
