The National Cybersecurity Entrepreneur Forum was held in Kunming during the National Cybersecurity Week in 2025.
On September 15, 2025, the National Cybersecurity Awareness Week Entrepreneurial Forum was held at the Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center in Kunming. Yang Jianwen, the Deputy Director of the Cyberspace Administration of China, pointed out that leading enterprises need to take on the responsibility of tackling "bottleneck" technologies, focus on key areas such as chips, collaborate with universities and research institutes to create innovation consortia, accelerate the development of domestically controllable security chips to break monopolies, and help small and medium-sized enterprises improve their security capabilities through mentoring. Industry associations should play a role as "bridge links", optimize collaborative communication mechanisms through the construction of cybersecurity talent pools and the establishment of "threat intelligence sharing", among other methods. At the meeting, the leaders of 16 companies including China Unicom, CETC, CEC, SenseTime, Qi Anxin, AsiaInfo Security, Venustech, AhnLab, AnQuanTong, Heng An Jiaxin, Pinduoduo, Baidu, Huawei, XPeng Motors, iFLYTEK, Daily Interactive, and others discussed three major topics: "key elements of transformation", "breaking the industry cycle", and "supporting enterprises in going global", and provided suggestions for the high-quality development of the cybersecurity industry.
