The cross-border 2D code unified gateway has been online for more than a month, and eligible market institutions can access it.
Yesterday, the 14th China Payment and Clearing Forum was held in Beijing. At the forum, officials from the People's Bank of China announced that the cross-border QR code unified gateway had been launched for trial operation at the end of July. In the future, the central bank will promote the construction of a more open and efficient domestic QR code payment network. Lu Lei stated that after the launch of the cross-border QR code unified gateway for trial operation, it will support eligible market institutions to access and carry out cross-border QR code payment services. In the future, the central bank will guide all industries to continue promoting cross-border payment interoperability, strengthen and facilitate China's connectivity to the global fund network and channels, and promote the construction of a more open and efficient payment service.
